Ended our backpacking trip with a 5 AM hike to the highest point in Big Bend to watch the sunrise. Then we descended 2,400 feet down to the Chisos Basin under the golden light.

Day Three: Boot Canyon to Emory Peak to the Pinnacles
7 miles

After a night at Boot Canyon, we hiked to where the Chisos Mountains drop down to the desert floor and you can see all the way to Mexico.
